Singapore - Low cost carrier Tiger Airways has launched a new Euro RSCG 4D-created website to achieve its aim of becoming Singapore's leading airline Internet site. Over 75% of bookings for the airline are currently made online -- the goal is to increase that number to 90%.
"Tiger Airways is always looking into how we can improve productivity and customer service, and this policy is reflected in our website which has been redesigned to make it easier for our passengers to find the information they need -- whether it's the lowest fares, flight schedules or details of our route network in the Asia Pacific region," said Tiger Airways Head of Distribution and Revenue Management Donna Clarkstone in a statement.
"Over the last year, we've risen to be the second most visited airline website in Singapore -- we're now aiming for the top spot," said Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davis. "Our new website is more user-friendly, has many new features and improved information, and is capable of handling an increased number of bookings."
According to Tiger Airways Head of IT and E-Commerce Mark Lim, the new system utilises the latest technology from vendors such as IBM, hp and Cisco as well as standards such as XML to "guarantee system performance, security, uptime and an overall enhanced user experience".
