Singapore - Business and travel specialist publisher Ink Publishing plans to audit the circulation of both Tiger Airways' Tiger Tales inflight magazine as well as CNN Traveller's Asia Pacific and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) editions. Tiger Airways will be the only airline based in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines or Vietnam which has an audited inflight magazine.
Simon Leslie, Group Publishing Director at Ink Publishing commented that he was "surprised that none of the other inflight titles in the region had opted for an independent circulation audit given the rapid growth in passenger numbers."
Ink plans to submit Tiger Tales to Singapore-based Media Circulation Services (MCS) for a circulation audit from the period November 2005 to April 2006. "Given MCS' extensive experience auditing titles across Southeast Asia, it is well positioned to audit Tiger Tales," he added.
CNN Traveller Asia Pacific -- a spin off of the EMEA edition of CNN Traveller -- will be audited by BPA from launch in January, together with the as well as the EMEA edition, which is already available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as at selected North American retail outlets.
"We want to provide advertisers in CNN Traveller with the assurance of an independent circulation audit conducted according to BPA's uncompromising standards," said Leslie. "With a BPA audit, media buyers can be confident that circulation claims are accurate, and that they have the verified data that they need to assess a publication's effectiveness in serving its market."
