Singapore - Interactive agency Profero has appointed Elaine Phoon as its new Senior Client Services Director, responsible for the growth of key accounts in the agency and providing leadership and support to the team in developing strategies for clients to grow their business and increase market share. Phoon will oversee all projects for key clients such as Mercedes Benz, Apple, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels and Metro.
“My role is to challenge the perception that CRM and digital media in Singapore and Asia is not as sophisticated as in Europe and North America,” said Phoon, who reports to Managing Director and Regional CRM Director Damian Byrne. “Companies may understand how CRM and digital media can increase their brand relationship with customers and prospects, but they may limit their investments in terms of money, effort and time -- my aim is to help them realise their full potential in the digital and CRM space.”
Phoon, who replaces Anuraag Mohan, was most recently Account Director on Microsoft APAC at Wunderman Singapore/Young & Rubicam Brands. She also spent five years at OgilvyOne Singapore in a Senior Account Manager role where she handled clients such as American Express, SAP, Nestle and Nokia.
Profero has also restructured its Creative Team and corresponding responsibilities, with Byrne saying that the change was made to “best reflect the needs of our clients”. This sees the agency hiring May Teo as Art Director, with Teo a previous freelancer with agencies such as Wunderman, Chiel Communications and Avenue A Razor Fish. Profero's Creative Director Greg Wood will focus on CRM strategy and work with Byrne and copy-based creative, while Jonathan McKenzie has been promoted to Creative Director where he will develop the Strategic and Visual side of the agency business. Head of Design Andrew Griffin has taken on an expanded role, now working with creative teams across the region to grow and develop the design aspect of the business.
