Singapore - UK-headquartered integrated marketing services agency Write Image has opened its first Asia-Pacific office in Singapore in an attempt to extend its global reach and enable the firm to “more easily satisfy” its customers’ demands for global marketing services and PR programmes.  “For any business with global ambitions, you simply have to be in Asia,” said Write Image CEO Steve Ellis in a statement. “Our 500K SGD set up investment reflects our commitment to the Asian marketplace and the huge opportunity it represents for the firm and our customers.” Ex-Microsoft UK staffer Jessica Sharland has been appointed Regional Manager of Write Image here, tasked with building the operation’s local resources and capabilities while also developing new business opportunities in Asia. “Being employee number one in APAC is both exciting and daunting,” said Sharland. “Previous new operations have grown rapidly, so I’m expecting that we’ll soon have a strong local resource available both in Singapore and other key countries in the region.”  The agency, which previously remotely supported global marketing programmes covering APAC from its three other offices in London, New York and Seattle, intends to build local capacity, expertise and resources to fulfil the Asian components of these programmes from the Singapore office. Current Write Image customers include BT, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Xerox and Reuters.
