Singapore - Saatchi & Saatchi has developed a new pro-bono, ‘speed bump’ campaign for the National Healthcare Group aimed at encouraging smokers to quit and deterring potential smokers from picking up the habit.“We painted lit cigarettes over the speed bumps in the carpark of the Causeway Point shopping mall, with the message ‘Smoking slows you down’ to remind the passengers in the over 15,000 vehicles which pass through daily that smoking deteriorates their mental and physical capacities in the long run,” said Birger Linke, Art Director, Saatchi & Saatchi.“The idea was to use everyday, ordinary objects in the least unexpected manner, so instead of conventional media such as posters, only speed bumps were employed for this exercise,” she added.Saatchi & Saatchi works with the National Healthcare Group on pro-bono campaigns on an ad hoc basis.
