Singapore - Microsoft Xbox's entertainment and devices division (EDD) has boosted its regional team in Asia, appointing Erik Ford, Steven Blackburn, Karen Teo and Clifton Tan to four senior manager appointments in the division.
The new appointments are part of EDD's efforts to strengthen support infrastructure and collaborative relationships with independent game publishers and studios which produce and release Xbox 360 games for Asia, excluding Japan.
In his new role as regional product manager at EDD, Ford will oversee all Xbox 360 product marketing activities in the Asian markets. Ford joins EDD from Australian based Eidos Interactive where he was managing director.
Heading EDD's newly created Singapore based Third Party Asia team as group manager is Steven Blackburn, who was previously Xbox Europe's account manager. With over a decade's experience, Blackburn's previous stints were with UK based gameplay.com and German-based Bertelsmann Online.
Joining EDD's Third Party Asia team as account managers are Karen Teo and Clifton Tan. Teo was formerly product marketing manager for Xbox, SE Asia, where she helped drive the Xbox Singapore and Games for Windows business in SE Asia. Tan was previously associate regional product manager at EDD where he was responsible for the retail marketing efforts for Xbox Asia. Both Teo and Tan will report to Blackburn.
