Singapore - Hill & Knowlton (H&K) has promoted Managing Director of its Singapore office and 22-year public relations veteran Jimmy Tay to the position of Southeast Asian Chief Executive as it embarks on a regional drive to grow its business.  “By taking a cross-market approach in a region with highly developed countries and emerging markets, part of Jimmy’s remit is to identify and exploit some unique opportunities that we have only begun to tap into,” said Vivian Lines, President and COO of H&K Asia Pacific, whom Tay reports to, adding that the Singapore operation’s “top-line growth, sustained profitability, strong team of PR practitioners and blue-chip client base” were in no small part due to Tay’s efforts. Tay will now also oversee H&K’s offices in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok as well as a network of associate offices in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam to widen the company’s client base across ASEAN. “For me, the key is harnessing our people’s potential to create value for our clients and partners, and to contribute to enhancing our respective societies and the regional community in our own small ways,” he said.
