Meyer leaves thinning Wunderman Singapore numbers
Although Wunderman Asia would not immediately comment on the headcount of its Singapore office, Marketing understands the figure could be as little as five - two years ago it was as many as 40 and late last year it was around 25.
Meyer's departure after three and a half years came end of May and according to him, was "amicably" and allowed him to now "refresh" his passion for mobile marketing.
"I really did enjoy my Wunderman years which gave me a chance to work on mobile marketing initiatives across Asia, and, more recently, Europe, the US and Latin America. But I am still considering options and looking for the right fit to re-focus on developing relevant mobile marketing initiatives," he said.
Meyer's responsibilities included wider digital CRM engagement for key regional clients as well as acquisitions search and mobile marketing planning and coordination. Before Wunderman, he was CEO of BMOB Mobile Solutions, for three years - an award winning mobile marketing company founded by Meyer in 2001.
Meyer would not comment on the state of the Singapore office.
