AOA Awards calling

Singapore - The Asia Outdoor Advertising Awards 2007 is calling for entries ahead of its 24-26 October conference, exhibition and award show.

The event intends to be Asia Pacific's largest event focused on OOH advertising in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the awards were conceived as a platform to showcase and honour the creative use of OOH media in the region. Entry kits are can be downloaded from the microsite asiaoutdooradvertising.com and entries may be submitted for consideration in any one of nine broad categories ranging from traditional posters to digital and mobile divisions.

"The outdoor landscape is changing so rapidly, there's a huge explosion of new media platforms over the last few years. Digital revolution is changing traditional Out-of-Home advertising with new and exciting multi-media platforms that allow for better flexibility, reliability and interactivity. AOA is the only regional award show dedicated to the growing importance of this form of advertising so it'll be great exposure for those who want to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their creative prowess," Tay Guan Hin, chief-of-jury for AOA Awards 2007, and regional ECD of SE Asia for JWT said.

The AOA Awards 2007 will be held in conjunction with a three-day long conference and exhibition focusing the spotlight on the growing importance of outdoor advertising in the region. The AOA Awards 2007 Call for Entries publicity campaign was designed around four internationally awarded outdoor advertisements from Asia, including JWT KL's ‘Missile car', TBWA Japan's ‘Vertical football', McCann Erickson India's ‘Bursting bubble gum', and Leo Burnett Bangkok's ‘Big comb'.

Deadline for entries are 31 August 2007.
