Google beefs up senior team in Hong Kong

Hong Kong - Google has appointed Rebecca Kuei to lead the sales and operations in Hong Kong succeeding Crid Yu, who will relocate to Google's head office based in Mountain View, California to take up the new role as regional director of new initiatives.

Kuei's latest appointment is in addition to her current role as head of sales and business development for Google Taiwan where she will continue to be based, responsible for leading Google's business strategy and developments in both the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. She reports to Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, vice president of Google, Asia-Pacific & Latin America.

Prior to Google, Kuei was from Microsoft Taiwan responsible for marketing and sales of Microsoft Windows.

Yu who joined the Hong Kong premises in late 2005 and was responsible for establishing Google's Hong Kong and South East Asian teams will continue to oversee the business development in the region from his new office in USA.

Google has also appointed Emmauel Sauquet as director of wireless business development for Asia and Latin America. Based in Hong Kong, he will be tasked to provide innovative Google solutions to mobile users across Asia.
