Proximity GM leaves for showbiz buzz

Singapore - Proximity Singapore GM, Calvin Tan has left the agency to take up a director of marketing role at film production and distribution company, Easternlight Film Productions.

In his new role, Tan will oversee all marketing, promotion, sponsorship and communication functions for the company and for the initial slate of five films scheduled to be produced over the next three years.

"We feel that in Calvin we have a professional with a dimension of experience and energy that will help drive our brand and activity to optimum levels," Ken Isaacs, executive producer for Easternlight Film Productions said.

As reported by Marketing, Proximity Singapore recently appointed a new head of interactive as well as a new strategy director. Following the loss of the Mitsubishi account to Batey back in March, Proximity Singapore retrenched seven of its staff and this latest round of new appointments is part of a restructuring process currently underway at the agency.
