Hong Kong - Citibank is utilising a relatively new form of pop-up instant retail space as part of a credit card push to create cut through in the busy Causeway Bay shopping precinct and sign up new customers.
The "Celebrate life every night" outdoor campaign is enabled through the CommonSpace platform which has helped Citibank create a mini-customer service centre.
"For Citibank, their campaign at CommonSpace serves multiple business purposes from outdoor advertising via LED billboard, brand building with customized decoration as well as client acquisition via the use of the demo area as a client sign-up station," Daniel Wong, business development director for Join Merit Media Holdings said.
Developed by JM Network, CommonSpace is based on a concept originated from New York of a pop-up store or a ‘mobile shop' that enables the retailer to promote its brand and allows core audience to interact with the brand. This localised OOH platform combines retail with event marketing as a promotion mix.
