Hong Kong - DDB Group Hong Kong has appointed Kate McArthur as marketing and business strategist tasked with identifying and developing strategic thinking to drive effective and applicable marketing solutions.

McArthur was previously from DDB Japan where she worked on strategic planning for VW, Nikko Citigroup and Philips.

"She has worked with a range of clients across industries, in both agency and marketing roles, and her knowledge and experience with DDB's insight planning tools, such as Signbank, will be a real asset to this office," Richard Thomas, president & CEO for DDB Group Hong Kong said.

She reports to Sarah Brennan, general manager, marketing and business strategy of DDB Group Hong Kong.

"Working closely with clients, creative and account service, the main goal of Sarah's team is to aid marketers and the agency to create robust and effective marketing solutions. The department aims to uncover the issues, deliver real insight into the client's industry, its consumers and the opportunities - whilst ensuring that everything we do is applicable and real in the business world our clients operate in. By ensuring strategic marketing thinking is at the heart of everything we do, we can ensure that top drawer creative product meets and solves our client's business problems. Kate's appointment reinforces this vision," Thomas said.
