New times for The Saujana

Malaysia – GHM will no longer manage The Saujana and The Club at The Saujana as of March following a mutual termination of a management contract - a move which will affect staff at both Saujana brands.

The Saujana and The Club at The Saujana recently appointed Albert Lafuente as its director of sales and marketing. Lafuente could not be reached for comment at the two properties with staff saying he had resigned.

It is not clear whether Lafuente's resignation relates directly to the GHM contract news.

Without going into specifics, a spokesperson for the Saujana brands said an announcement will be released in March by new management.

"GHM has had a long and fruitful association with the owners of The Saujana and The Club at The Saujana for a number of years and remains supportive to their success. The property owners will take over management of the properties, as was always originally planned, as their expansion plans get underway," Hans Jenni, director and president for GHM, said.

GHM, which has been operating The Saujana since it was rebranded in May 2005 and The Club at The Saujana since opening it in September 2008, would not provide further comment on the staff situation.

GHM currently manages 10 properties in eight countries with expansion plans underway across Asia, Europe and America.
