Malaysia – Tune Money has rebranded its core business in a bid to capture the youth and working-class market.

Tune Money has also revamped its website to be in line with the rebranding.

The rebranding exercise includes renaming the Tune Money Visa Prepaid Card to just "Tune-In Card" while its Red Card which targets teens aged 15 to 17 is now called "Pulse Card".

"Tune Money is set to focus on our two core businesses; Prepaid Card and Insurance products. With enhancements to prepaid card features, Tune-In cardholders can now easily transfer funds to other Tune-In or Pulse card accounts via Card2Card feature," Joyce Lai, CEO of Tune Money, said.

Tune Money works with Tune Insurance to offer a range of insurance and takaful products like Tune Motor Insurance, Tune Personal Accident Insurance, and Tune Home Insurance.

Takaful versions of the mentioned insurance products are in the pipeline with the launch of Tune Money Indonesia and Tune Money Thailand expected by the end of this year.

In conjunction with the rebranding, Tune Money has waived the RM12 joining fee for 10,000 cards applied online from today until 31 January. The monthly RM1.50 fee for active cardholders who reach a certain amount of spending every month has also been waived.

Tune Money is currently working with Tribal DDB and Carat.

Tune Money belongs to Tune Group and was set up in 2005 to offer affordable prepaid cards under the Visa brand name and insurance products.
