Singapore - On the back of a successful 2009 edition of the Women's Champions, HSBC has launched JWT-created campaign for this year's event.
The golf championship is sanctioned by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and will be the third edition of ‘Asia's Major' where 63 of the world's well-known female golfers will battle it out with US$1.3 million prize money at stake.
Titled "Return of the Champions" the campaign rolls out across TV and outdorr platforms.
In addition, HSBC branches have also seen a transformation with branch billboards, in-branch posters, glass facades, wall murals and lift doors carrying the "Return of the Champions" branding.
"HSBC is known globally for its golf sponsorship and it is important that our key messages are communicated clearly and to a wide audience. The challenge is to come up with a unique campaign that creates resonance amongst our target audience and given that the HSBC Women's Champions features tournament winners and top players, the theme for this year is apt," Aparna Guruprasad, head, brand management and marketing services, HSBC Singapore, said.
Defending champions Lorena Ochoa (2008) and Jiyai Shin (2009) have committed their participation in the tournament and more names will be announced closer to the event.
