F&N opens new soft drinks chapter

Malaysia - F&N has revealed the new corporate identity of its soft drinks division with today's launch of F&N Beverages Marketing and F&N Beverages Manufacturing.
The move was instigated by Coca-Cola's decision to not renew a bottling and distribution agreement with F&N back in February last year.
As part of its corporate marketing and manufacturing redesign, F&N will add some 50 additional products with the exception of cola and lemon-lime carbonated drinks to its extensive portfolio.
The new brands could comprise of new tea, hot filled juice, Asian soft drink, energy drink and water products.
The new products are intended for both domestic and export markets with marketing and manufacturing activities expected to go full swing from 27 January onwards.
"Our new identity comes with invigoration, a new spirit and vitality to be the most pervasive supplier of a broad and diversified portfolio of quality products trusted for generations," Tan Ang Meng, CEO, F&N Holdings Malaysia, said.
"As we move forward we will deepen and widen our already strong brand foundations leveraging its wholesome, feel good nature that has allowed the brand and its products to lead the field in many categories," he said.
Tan tells A+M the company will first focus on successfully distributing its products in the local market and monitoring its expansion here before looking outside Malaysia.
