Hong Kong - OMD Hong Kong has hired Max Lee as associate research director responsible for all research related projects for Hong Kong including initiating some in-house research projects and secondary data to gain a deeper understanding of clients' consumers and yield a more effective media strategy.

Lee replaces Susanna Lam, former director of communication insights and reports to Gavin Gibson, strategic planning director for OMD Hong Kong.

"Max brings with him specialist research experience which is crucial in obtaining genuine consumer insight, beyond that of traditional media fields. Clients are expecting much more from media agencies than just media planning or buying expertise and Max will be a great asset to OMD in helping to drive consumer insight led research," Gibson said.

Lee was previously project director from Synovate Hong Kong in charge of taking research brief from clients, designing and recommending research methodology, customizing questionnaires or discussion guides, monitoring fieldwork, data analysis and reporting. Prior to Synovate, he was with Acorn for four years.
