CLEAR CHANNEL   OUT OF HOME   PEOPLE

  • Clear Channel's Telly Tan resigns
  • Sales director Henry Goh too departs
  • APAC head Thewlis takes over in the interim
Singapore - Clear Channel Singapore's managing director Telly Tan and sales director Henry Goh have left the company.

Mark Thewlis (pictured), regional president for Clear Channel in Asia Pacific, will oversee the Singapore operations while a replacement is being sought.

Tan, previously Managing Director of Pearl & Dean, joined Clear Channel in September 2002 to run the advertising concession at Changi Airport. He was promoted to Managing Director in November 2003.

Goh has had a six-year stint with the company and was previously General Manager of Capital City Posters.

"It has been seven years of fond memories; of colleagues, bosses, friends and associates. I cannot thank enough, all people who have helped sew this tapestry of life that occupies a permanent spot in my mind. Clear Channel is truly a great company filled with good, talented people. I am sure it will continue to prosper under the new leadership," Tan said.

"Telly's departure has provided the catalyst to adjust our management structure to meet the needs of the business in these most challenging times. As a result of these changes, we will remove the current Sales Director role. The new CEO, once appointed, will handle these duties. A search is now underway for an appropriate person to fill the new broader role," Thewlis said.
