HPB launches campaign for Children's safety

- HPB launches campaign
- For Childhood Injury Prevention Programme
- To run for a month
Created by Ogilvy & Mather, the campaign targets parents and caregivers and includes print, radio and outdoor executions.
HPB, for the first time, has roped in partners such as the National Parks Board (NParks) and SAFRA Jurong, while continuing to work with existing ones like KK Women's and Children Hospital (KKH) to spread these childhood injury prevention messages.
"Over 10,000 children attend the Children's Emergency of KKH every year after sustaining unintentional injuries. Much can be done to educate caregivers of children and the children themselves regarding injury prevention, and we are glad to be involved in this effort by HPB," Tham Lai Peng, senior consultant, emergency medicine, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, said.
CHIPP was initiated by HPB in 2004 to raise the awareness of parents and caregivers that childhood injuries, the leading causes of death in young children in Singapore, can be prevented.
