MediaCorp brings in head for TV programming and production, Channel 5

Singapore - MediaCorp has appointed Kenneth Liang to the position of executive VP, TV programming and production, Channel 5 - he assumes his position on 1 June.

Liang will oversee the network programming and promotions (NPP5) as well as MediaCorp Studios' production functions for Channel 5. Prior to MediaCorp, Liang held senior positions with the Singapore Tourism Board and Economic Development Board and started his career with the then-Singapore Broadcasting Corporation.

Meanwhile, MediaCorp has also announced Chang Long Jong, MediaCorp Dy CEO (Television) will head TV Programming and productions, Channels 8 and U.

Lucas Chow, MediaCorp CEO said the combined structures would provide better integration and execution between programming, production and promotions for the respective channels.    

"Over the last year we have brought in a diverse pool of talents with MNC, media, publishing and campus development experience.  We need to continue to increase our management bench strength as we strive to achieve our vision of being one of Asia's top media companies," Chow said.
