Samsonite streamlines SE Asia marketing
- Samsonite hires Gene Kwek to fill marketing role for Msia and Spore
- Kwek joins as assistant marketing manager from Valiram
- To work closely with DDB PR in Msia and PR Communications in Spore
Regional - Samsonite has hired Gene Kwek as assistant marketing manager for Malaysia and Singapore.
The appointment is part of the company's restructuring of marketing which recently saw its marketing manager for SE Asia, Loretta Urquhart promoted to a commercial head role.
In Kwek's new role, she provides direction to Samsonite PR agencies DDB PR in Malaysia and PR Communications in Singapore. She reports to Urquhart as well as to Satish Peerubandi who is Samsonite's deputy director marketing for SE Asia.
Kwek was previously assistant PR manager at luxury goods retailer Valiram Group in Singapore where she was involved in the launch of Jimmy Choo's first flagship store in SE Asia.
Prior to Valiram, she has had stints with PR agencies Batey Consulting and Vibes Communications.
