Seah resurfaces at Langham Hotels
LANGHAM HOTELS E-COMMERCE APPOINTMENT
Hong Kong - Sean Seah (pictured), former general manager for Zuji, has joined Langham Hotels International this week in a newly created role as global director of e-commerce.
He will be tasked to build online revenue for Langham globally and look at ways to connect and engage with customers through various digital channels such as mobile and social media.
Seah said he joined Langham Hotels because of the global role, which gives him the ability to do things around the world in different markets.
He added that the hotel's focus in innovation is another factor that attracted him and said he is excited to be part of a group that do things differently and better.
Seah's immediate focus is to build a compelling website that customers would want to book online.
He reports directly to Bob van den Oord, vice president of sales & marketing for Langham Hotels International.
Langham Hotels launched its first social media campaign in May this year comprising a series of viral videos for its Big Deal campaign that caused an online storm among the local audience as reported in Marketing.
Brian Koroll, director of electronic marketing and revenue management led the social media initiative, has since left the company.
