Hong Kong - Hong Kong Commercial Radio has launched a virtual stock trading platform under its Skull & Bones channel aimed at creating interest in financial investment among youths.

Registered members of 881903.com could go on Skull & Bones Exchange to sign up for the service.

To Cheung, general manager for Commercial Radio Interactive said practicing before real investing builds a foundation of trading discipline, which is crucial to success in the stock market.

He claimed that Skull  &  Bones  Exchange  is  the  "one‐and‐only"  integrated  online  platform  in  Hong  Kong  which provides  a  free  and  safe  environment  for  the  investment  community  to  practice,  share  and learn interactively.

The new initiative is also designed to provide a platform for marketers to target young professionals and people with finance background.

Commercial Radio is keen to get advertisers from finance sector on board but several handset manufacturers have also expressed interest to advertise there.

Some of the ad formats available on Skull & Bones Exchange include banner advertising on its game and blog pages, in game messages, sponsorship on HK Toolbar as well as in its monthly eDMs.

To promote the launch of Skull & Bones Exchange, on-air and online promotion are executed in 881 and 903 radio stations and 881903.com and my903.com early this week.

Other supporting communications include a dedicated video channel on Hong Kong Toolbar, promotional messages on Facebook fan page and Twitter as well as eDM to Commercial Radio's subscribers.
