Aegis Media appoints Korean CEO
AEGIS PEOPLE MEDIA
Korea - Former CEO of Lee & DDB Korea KiHoon Han has joined Aegis Media as CEO of Aegis Media Korea with immediate effect.
KH Han's role will oversee both the Carat Korea and ION Global brands as a way of creating a more integrated offering for clients in Korea and to leverage the world's most digitally advanced economy with the Aegis philosophy of being consumer led and digitally ahead.
KH will be supported in this role by Woohyun Nam, general manager Carat Korea, and Sun Young Lee, managing director ION Global.
Clients of the agency include adidas, Tourism Australia, Mattel, Gucci, Samsung, LG, KT, ISMG and Hachette.
Patrick Stahle, chairman & CEO Aegis Media Asia Pacific described Korea as an "extremely important" market for Aegis, with the group making considerable investments in digital.
KH started his career in advertising 26 years ago as media buyer, planner and then account director with Daehong Communications. He later moved to DDB Needham DIK Korea as group account director before being promoted to managing director and soon after CEO of Lee & DDB Korea.
The appointment is effective immediately and KH will work closely with David Holtham, Aegis Media's Commercial Director Asia Pacific and Regional Director North Asia.
