- Announcement follows after M1's
- To reveal more details later
A statement from the telecom operator said: "StarHub and Apple have reached an agreement to bring iPhone to customers in Singapore later this year. StarHub looks forward to offering iPhone and a range of tailored service plans to customers in Singapore."
Rival SingTel launched the iPhone in Singapore last year.
On whether the time lag would affect the demand for iPhone in Singapore, Ng Long Shyang, StarHub's Head of Sales, said: "We continue to receive requests from our mobile subscribers that they want to own iPhones connected to StarHub's superior HSPA+ network. We are pleased to reach an agreement to bring the iPhone by the end of the year, in response to these customer requests."
StarHub would not divulge more information on pricing, tariffs and availability dates as of now, saying the details will be released in due course.
