With over SGD 2 million prizes up for grabs, the campaign is McDonald's Singapore's largest promotion for the year.
"We are very excited to be the first country in Asia to launch this with Hasbro. McDonald's has had great success with Monopoly in the United States and Europe where the Game has become an annual affair - and we look forward to starting the tradition in Singapore," Agatha Yap, director of marketing, McDonald's Singapore said.
As part of the campaign, the tray mats at McDonald's are transformed into game boards and customers are given game pieces in the form of peel-off stickers when they purchase value lunch or extra value meals. The peels could reveal an instant prize ranging from food to vouchers from participating partners or a ‘property card' which customers can collect to win the prizes.
"This innovative partnership allows Hasbro to provide entertainment in different forms for McDonald's customers and spark even more passion for Monopoly," Joy Koh, marketing manager of Hasbro Singapore, said.
Other partners include Courts, Esso, Jetstar, Star Cruises and Toys R Us. DDB is the agency behind the campaign.
The campaign runs until 4 December, this year.
