BBDO makes key hires across China
Beijing - Oliver Xu (pictured), the former managing director of JWT Beijing has shifted to BBDO China to head its Beijing office.
Xu who joined BBDO on October 19, is well known in the Beijing market, bringing more than 14 years of experience in the advertising industry. His expertise spans a wide range of categories including IT, telecom, automobile, finance services, FMCG, and food & beverage.
Prior to BBDO, Xu has also worked at Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA and has also held marketing roles at Visa and Nabisco.
In his new role, Xu will take responsibility for BBDO Beijing's key clients including Mercedes-Benz, HP, and Bayer as well as all business development and operations. He will report directly to Carol Potter, CEO of BBDO China.
Joining BBDO's Guangzhou as regional planning director is JC Catibog.
Catibog is a veteran of the Procter & Gamble way of brand-building. He has led strategic thinking for some of P&G's most prominent brands including Head & Shoulders, Olay, Pampers, and Tide.
Previous positions Catibog has held include VP and management director at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, as well as regional director for Beauty Care in Greater China.
Catibog will report to Hans Lopez-Vito, Executive Strategic Planning Director of BBDO China.
