Computerworld Singapore's parent company International Data Group (IDG) had a field day in April 2007, having had four of its publications named in a renowned magazine for marketing strategists - BtoB's annual Media Power 50 list.

Needless to say, Computerworld was one of the publications that made the list, alongside fellow IDG publications CIO, InfoWorld and Network World.

This month, Computerworld's Singaporean counterpart has reason to celebrate as well, for they too, have gotten a stamp of approval from marketers in Singapore. Computerworld.com.sg was ranked by respondents of Marketing's Online Media of the Year survey to be placed number six as the website marketers would most likely advertise with.

Computerworld.com.sg, the online extension of bi-weekly magazine, Computerworld Singapore, was first made available in 2002. Both the print and online versions of the magazine provide the latest news, analysis and enterprise product information on IT and technology, keeping IT professionals from medium to large sized corporations up-to-date on developments which have implications upon their enterprise. Locally, the print version of Computerworld Singapore enjoys a circulation of 7531, targeted towards some 11,000 high level strategists in Singapore. Globally, over 80 million unique visitors visit more than 450 websites on IDG's online network monthly.

Most of the support for Computerworld.com.sg came from local marketers with local responsibilities from companies of local origin, with marketers of local origin showing the strongest support for the website. More agency-side respondents voted for Computerworld.com.sg than client-side respondents, with majority of the former ranking it 2nd. The latter gave the website an equal number of votes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, giving no real indication as to where Computerworld.com.sg stands with client-side respondents.

By industry group, those from public relations agencies and IT and telecommunications favoured Computerworld.com.sg the most. Similarly, by job function, Computerworld.com.sg garnered the most number of votes from public relations consultants, followed by marketing managers.

A recent report from IDG's subsidiary IDC, reflected that the digital marketplace has reached a tipping point and will see double digit growth rates until at least the end of this decade. With growth like that, marketers would do well to sit up and take notice of IDG's stable of publications, which reach more than 140 million technology buyers in 85 countries representing 95% of worldwide IT spending.
