F1 arrives in Singapore online first
Regional F1 enthusiasts can now get their fix of news and information online, as well exclusive content such as paddock gossip, track side photographs, expert columns, and a fortnightly email newsletter.
In a statement, MSN said "the average F1 fan relies on the Internet more than any other medium to keep up-to-the-minute with the sport between each race. In the MSN Profiling Online Survey conducted by Synovate in March 2006, close to 30% of those profiled indicated that they have an interest in motor sports and have previously gone online to search for relevant information".
"F1 racing aside, today's auto enthusiasts have evolved into a different breed altogether, having shed the shackles of the ‘meathead' label - from a marketing perspective, online auto enthusiasts are an active and engaged group that spends a lot of their free time searching the Net for information related to automobiles, from vehicle modification, racing coverage to car audio upgrades".
The MSN F1 channel launched in Malaysia on April 2007.
