Islamic Bank rolls out new look
Published: May 15, 2007 Singapore - The Islamic Bank of Asia has unveiled its new Batey Design-conceptualised brand identity which includes the bank's logo, website and signage. "In undertaking the entire corporate branding project over a period of three months, Batey Design went back to the roots of Islamic art, calligraphy and architecture to research the symbols which represent the principles of Islam and Islamic Banking," Nicholas Paul, ECD at Batey Design said. The new logo features a green tone which, according to Islamic principles, symbolises harmony and balance, while the interlinking elements of the logo refer to the partnership between the Middle East and Asia. The logo also highlights equality, growth, and transparency, represented by its symmetry, outward radiation and translucent look. The bank, which will service clients in Asia and the Middle East, will focus on commercial banking, corporate finance, capital markets and private banking services. It was launched earlier this month by DBS Bank and a group of Middle East investors. The agency's past work for Islamic clients include the Pearl Qatar, a luxury destination development in Doha. As reported in Marketing's 18 August bulletin last year, Batey won the three year multi-million dollar global marketing communications campaign for the development following a pitch process involving agencies from around the world.Batey Related Stories:
