Regional - Pringles and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have signed on as title sponsors for Asia Pacific's first regional blog awards, Nuffnang Blog Awards.
The event is being held in Singapore on 23 October at the Pan Pacific Hotel with 400 bloggers expected to attend.
"With the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards, we hope that giving recognition to bloggers will boost good, quality blog content, which will attract repeated visitors, and create meaningful discussions within the blogosphere," Nuffnang co-founder, Cheo Ming Shen said.
The Nuffnang Blog Awards will feature eight subject interest categories and four overall blog awards.
The eight subject interest categories are Best Blog Shop, Best Food Blog, Best Fashion Blog, Best Parenting Blog, Best Travel Blog, Best Geek Blog, Best Celebrity Blog, and Best Entertainment Blog.
The four overall blog awards are Best Original Blog Design, Most Influential Blog, Best Hidden Gem, and Region's Best Blog.
Nominations are open to the public until 13 September 2009. Blogs from any APAC country can be nominated, by the blog owner or any member of the public.
Award winners will be chosen through public votes (50%) and a panel of judges (50%).
