GroupM China appoints COO

National: GroupM Asia Pacific deputy chief financial officer Chan Huang Yee has been appointed to the position of COO of GroupM China.

In this newly created role, Chan will develop and implement market development strategies and commercial propositions of all GroupM's specialist units in China to achieve long term growth targets. She will also drive the group's acquisition strategy in China and across Asia Pacific.

Based in Shanghai, Chan reports to Bessie Lee, CEO of GroupM China.

"Huang Yee has been with the group for more than six years and her proven record of strong leadership, business sense and capability since her time at Mediaedge:cia and recent years spent in various regional roles will bring greater integration and synergy across our specialist units," Lee said.
