Malaysia - LG and TV9 have come together to launch an online project to get people back to their home towns for Hari Raya.
With bus tickets expected to be a sought after item because of the festival, LG and TV9 are running an online contest which will culminate in fifteen chartered buses simultaneously departing to fifteen destinations throughout the peninsula.
The event is scheduled for 18th September at Bukit Jalil Stadium carpark and will feature TV9 celebrities. A ‘live' cross-over via TV9's morning talkshow, Nasi Lemak Kopi O, before passengers depart is also being planned.
"LG is very happy to work with TV9 as the main sponsor of this ‘Balik Kampung Bersama LG dan TV9' to help reunite families during this very special period in the spirit of Raya as this is a way of thanking Malaysians for their continuous support," LG Electronics managing director and CEO, T.Y. Ko said.
The project is being hosted on both the lge.com.my and tv9.com.my websites - LG said priority will be given to contestants who have actually purchased purchased LG products or have been LG customers this year.
The 15 destinations are Sungai Petani, Alor Setar, Georgetown, Butterworth, Kangar, Ipoh, Taiping, Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, Muar, Bandar Hilir, Seremban, Kuantan, Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu.
