Singapore - UK sales promotion company Travel Leisure Club (TLC) Marketing has set up shop in Singapore, hoping to take advantage of regional opportunities due to consumer and economic confidence.

Targeted industries include the telco, automotive, banking, ISP, retail and FMCG sectors, and the agency will offer travel, leisure and lifestyle incentives for brands to roll out acquisition and customer retention programmes and consumer sales promotions, while sourcing, creative, client service and fulfilment services will also be provided.

"Singapore is one of the most dynamic cities in Asia, with high consumer spending power. It's also the regional base for many global brands, which we plan to work with, to roll out not just local campaigns but on regional platforms as well," Sharon Lim, TLC's director for Singapore said.

Alec Johnson, TLC's director of international operations, said the expansion of TLC's global network would allow the agency cost efficiencies which would be beneficial to Singaporean marketers.

The Singapore office is a sales and marketing office with a staff strength of four who work with existing clients that already have partnerships with TLC in Europe and the US, with all administrative and logistical support handled by the UK office. Already the local agency is working with Singapore-based global clients with the transfer of market intelligence and technical know-how from previously launched campaigns in US and Europe.

The new agency is TLC's sixth in Asia Pacific and joins other offices in Malaysia, Beijing, Tokyo, India, and Thailand. Global clients include brands such as Coca Cola, Samsung, L'Oreal, ABN Amro, Nestle, Sony and Nokia, amongst others.
