Singapore - CNET Networks Asia Pacific, publisher of CNET Asia, has announced the launch of its video service CNET Asia TV.
The initiative is aimed at delivering video technology content on-demand to CNET Asia's audience and the larger web community. CNET Asia TV will provide CNET's original video content produced locally and around the world, which features CNET writers and their opinions on products, news reports, and international special events, amongst other things.
"Our aim is to help demystify technology and bring users as close to their favourite gadgets as possible without seeing it in-person," Kathy Teo, MD of CNET Networks Asia Pacific said.
CNET Asia TV launches with Nokia and Samsung Electronics as sponsors.
"We have identified online communication as an important medium to complement and complete our integrated marketing efforts. Samsung wants to play an active role in creating and nurturing the next online wave through online video, which moves the online medium from a two-dimensional platform to a truly interactive forum," David Henry, regional general manager, corporate marketing, Samsung Asia, said in a statement.
