Asia - Total Sports Asia has tied up with video content management and delivery platform Octopus Media Technology to launch its sports broadband channel TotalSports.tv.
The channel is geared towards sports fans globally but with a core focus on Asia. It is due to launch on the 7 August and begins with live streaming and delayed content from the upcoming World Badminton Championships, as well as the US Open Tennis.
"We are very excited with the launch of our internet sports channel as it will give us a platform to fully exploit our vast sports rights and those of our clients to deliver content directly to the fans. The channel will also help our partners to commercialize much of their unsold internet rights," Marcus Luer, group CEO for TSA said.
