- Senior management changes at Weber Shandwick Japan
- Takeo Nishitani appointed as representative director and chairman
- Akihiko Kubo joins as president and CEO
Japan - Weber Shandwick Japan president and CEO, Takeo Nishitani will be appointed as representative director and chairman of the firm's Japanese operations on 1 August 2009.
"Takeo Nishitani has been an outstanding leader of our business over many years... We will continue to rely on his vision, experience and wisdom as we seek to maintain market leadership.Harris Diamond, CEO of Weber Shandwick said.
At the same time Akihiko Kubo will join the board as president and CEO and will be responsible for operational management of the business. Kubo joins from McCann Erickson Japan which is Weber Shandwick's sister company within the Interpublic Group.
