Microsoft leadership undergoes revamp
Hong Kong - General manager of Microsoft Hong Kong Herman Lam has stepped down from his role with Peter Yeung (pictured) taking over duties from 1 August.
Lam spent 13 years with Microsoft but will take time off to pursue other opportunities, Microsoft said.
Yeung brings to the role more than 30 years of IT and leadership experience running multinational IT companies in Hong Kong. Most recently he served as managing director of Jardine OneSolution (JOS), where he was responsible for the strategic planning and development of all of JOS's operations in Hong Kong.
In addition, Joelle Woo has been appointed as director of the Business & Marketing Organization for Microsoft Hong Kong, reporting to Yeung directly.
Woo will be responsible for leading business operations, marketing strategy and overall business performance of the software business groups.
She has a 10 year history with Microsoft, most recently as director of its Developer & Platform group in Hong Kong.
Adam Anger, who has served as senior director, Business & Marketing Organization for the past four years, has been appointed to head the Windows Business Group for the Greater China region, responsible for strategy, growth and overall performance of the Windows business across the region.
