Suning appoints Euro to hold top spot

Shanghai - Chinese retail brand Suning Electronics has appointed Euro RSCG China as its creative agency to strengthen its position in China and provide advertising and branding services.Edward Su, group managing director, Eastern China for Euro RSCG, said Suning is a strong brand with a lot of ambition and potential to continue to power growth into the future, which makes it an especially exciting challenge for them to take on.
Euro RSCG has won the business following a pitch, which the agency declined to disclose how much it's worth but said "it is a very large piece of business" and will be one of its top China clients.
The electronics giant has launched an aggressive expansion strategy late last year with the aim to open 200 stores over 2009 to reach 1000 outlets by the end of this year.
During the May Day holiday this year, 50 new retail stores opened around the country.
