Qais consulting rewards Newton, restructures

Singapore - Qais Consulting has promoted Mark Newton to managing director, from his existing role as vice president of business development and digital media, and made two new hires as the agency ramps up for growth in the region.

As part of the restructuring Qais has appointed Nick Pan, who comes from Convertium as projects director, and Carolina Lam who joins as business manager from XM Asia Pacific.

As managing director, Newton will be responsible for the top and bottom line of the Singapore office, the development of all client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction with all deliverables as well as staff development.

The restructure, CEO Tripti Lochan said, is aimed to gear up for growth in the second half of 2009.

"We are seeing clients calibrating their marketing infrastructure towards digital environments. We believe this will translate into a substantial digital push in the second half of 2009, continuing into 2010," she said.  

In his new role Pan will be responsible for managing processes and frameworks for the agency and Lam, as business manager, will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, generating revenue with existing clients and new business.

According to Lochan, Qais will also be expanding into other Asian markets in 2009.
