Thailand - Lalana Santos, currently executive consultant, has been promoted to the position of managing director of Weber Shandwick Thailand.
The promotion of Santos from executive consultant to MD is effective as of yesterday, and marks the growth of the business for Weber Shandwick in Thailand.
"Weber Shandwick has seen robust growth over the past year, especially in terms of new business wins and team development, a result which Lalana plays a huge role in achieving," Mark Ingrouille, region director Southeast Asia for McCann Worldgroup, said.
"Our mission is to build Weber Shandwick to become the number one PR agency in Thailand, a goal we are rapidly achieving. Lalana's promotion is not just recognition of her outstanding work; it is also a natural direction to take, putting the reins in the right leadership to take the agency forward."
Santos has three decades worth of experience in the business, working across agency, media and the client sides including a stint as deputy editor of Thailand Tatler magazine when it was first launched in Thailand. Santos was also PR Director at Dusit Hotels & Resorts and JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok prior to joining Weber Shandwick.
