Hong Kong- Creative directors will be hunting out the next new wave of talent at the speed dating style Portfolio Night 5 World Tour to be held this Thursday in 23 cities simultaneously including for the first time Hong Kong.
This annual advertising industry event gathers top creative directors to review the portfolios of students and aspiring young creatives to have their work critiqued, gain advice and possibly get a job.
In Hong Kong, nearly 50 students have registered and 13 advertising agencies are participating in the event.
"This is about identifying and mentoring the next pool of creatives capable of doing something well beyond the ordinary. This event helps participants hone their skills, develop the resources and build the network that will make their success a foregone conclusion," Ross Sutherland, chief creative officer of Corbis, which provides digital imagery for the webcast, said.
"Portfolio Night is not just an event; it is a test for the advertising community. Every year we set the bar higher because we want to use Portfolio Night to prove to the advertising industry that when we work together for a common goal, in this case the future of the ad industry, great and magical things happen.
