Heritage Media titles come under SPH Magazines’ roof

Singapore - SPH Magazines has incorporated the entire operations of Heritage Media (HMPL) under its roof - HPML is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hardware Zone, which was acquired by SPH Magazines last year.

HMPL publishes titles such as Carma and Inside Golf which will be consolidated under SPH Magazines' general lifestyle division headed by MD Allen Loh.

Other titles such as Just U and JetAway are published on behalf of National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) and JetStar Asia respectively. These titles will be managed by Dennis Pua, MD of SPH Magazines' specialist publications division.

Caroline Ngui, group editor-in-chief will oversee all editorial functions.

"The general strategy for the Hardware Zone group is to stay focused to address the increasing needs of the new media industry. There will certainly be an immediate economies of scale when these four titles are consolidated under SPH Magazines," Jackie Lee, CEO of Hardware Zone said in a statement.

Heritage Media staff will be making the move to SPH Magazines' offices next Friday where they will be split up into their respective divisions. There were no staff layoffs from the exercise and all employees received a slight increase in pay.
