Finance market picks up momentum
Hong Kong - The finance market is picking up momentum with clients looking to hire specialist PR agencies to beef up activities and engage more with potential investors, said Richard Tsang chairman and managing director for SPRG.
Real Gold Mining (pictured), a company based in China specialising in the mining of gold and ore processing, has appointed Strategic Public Relations Group (SPRG) as its financial PR consultant.
SPRG won the business following a pitch that involved several agencies displacing incumbent Wonderful Sky Financial Group that helped to roll out the gold mining company's IPO.
As the new PR agency, SPRG will help Real Gold Mining to strengthen its media and investor relations as well as build an effective network for transparent and responsive communication.
SPRG has also been retained by Soho China, a developer known for its high-profile commercial properties in central Beijing, as its PR consultant for the Hong Kong market.
SPRG previously handled its IPO in 2007 and is tasked to help the company strengthen its media and investor relations with the latest appointment.
Come Sure Group, a manufacturing company that sells corrugated paperboards and paper-based packaging products, has also appointed SPRG as its financial PR consultant to enhance public awareness of and investors' interest in the company. The appointment followed the agency's completion of an IPO project in February this year.
In Q1 of 2009, SPRG has completed three IPOs for China Singyes Solar Technologies, Come Sure Group and Asia Cassava Resources Holdings accounting for 50% market share in this year's IPO market to date.
The agency was also appointed by Mongolia Energy Corporate and CVM Minerals on full-year retainer basis in the same period.
