Singapore - MediaCorp has announced it will be expanding its advertising offerings through launching a series of online and mobile initiatives in a bid to target more advertisers.
Among other things, the broadcaster is looking to shift some of its attention to the online space to meet growing demand from advertisers looking for new media ad opportunities, and integrating traditional and new media ideas into its business.
One such initiative is an online marketplace for Singaporeans to trade their wares which launches in about two months' time, and which will target the affluent local online community.
"The inclusion of new media into the marketing mix has become today's buzzword for the savvy marketeer. Smart advertisers are looking at stretching their dollars across multiple platforms. With MediaCorp's resources, integrating new media communication touch points is a natural evolution of our businesses," Timothy Goh, VP, new media business/ CRM said.
