What’s in a name?

Singapore - Viscion Media Group, the publishers of Lexean, will launch a female title in the coming months with its name to be decided via a competition inviting the media to submit potential names.

The media has until 6 May 2007 to submit a name and meaning for the magazine which claims will cover topics ranging from the latest developments in aesthetic medicine, cosmetic surgery, anti-aging, preventative medicine, wellness and spa retreats.

In an email statement, GM for Viscion Media Group, Holman Chin told Marketing, "This time we really don't have a name though we've gone through countless iterations of words in English, French, and Latin. I can't release much on the magazine as we have not finalised several matters but it will address Aesthetics, Beauty and Conditioning from a professional and personal perspective, and be informative but not clinical and act as a resource for those who would like to find out more on these topics".

Chin could not comment at this stage on plans for an audit, however, in Singapore several leading magazines in the genre remain unaudited.
