Hot FM still the No. 1 radio station

Malaysia – Media Prima Radio Network (MPRN) continues to see growth as its Hot FM and Fly FM score poll positions and registered a 70% leap in listenership respectively.
Ahmad Izham Omar, head of Media Prima Radio Networks, said the stations are also benefiting from the ability to leverage on their on-air, on-ground, on-mobile and online platforms to engage the attention of the listeners and position the stations as a part of their daily lives.Apart from on-air interaction, MPRN is also actively involved in CSR campaigns which educate and encourage listeners to support NGOs.
Seelan Paul, COO of Radio Networks, MPB said MPRN's collaboration with TV networks as their official radio station for various programmes "has also strengthened the stations' ties with TV viewers".
According to the latest results of the first 2009 survey by the Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement, Hot FM is still the No. 1 radio station for the under 34-year-old demographic and is dominant in all the major market centres of Klang Valley, Johor Bharu, Penang and Ipoh.
With over 3.7 million listeners, Hot FM also dominates the important morning slot with its morning show.Hot FM Jam, Hot FM Zon and Menu Muzik are also No. 1 in their respective time zones for the under 30-year-old audience.
