  • Decision follows a six-way pitch
  • Remit includes 10 markets globally

Global - The International Marketing Council of South Africa has appointed MS&L Worldwide as its global communications partner following a multi-agency pitch.

In the new task, MS&L will service the Brand South Africa team in 10 key markets globally and provide additional market support in countries requiring economic, trade and investment profiling. The key markets include China, India, Brazil, UAE, Egypt, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Kingdom, the European Union and the USA.

"Working with a global agency network such as MS&L will allow the IMC to build the reputation of BrandSA and promote the global competitiveness in markets where we do not have a direct presence. This is a very good fit with the IMC's collaborative approach to reputation management," Paul Bannister, acting CEO of IMC said.

Established in 2002, IMC's main objective is marketing the nation through the Brand South Africa campaign and create strategic advantages in terms of trade and tourism for the country.
