StarHub gets the ball rolling

Singapore - StarHub has launched a DDB-created campaign for its new Hub Cruiser and Hub Trooper services.
Launched with the objective to reach out to consumers, Hub Cruiser, a mobile showcase unit, travels anywhere in Singapore bringing the showroom to the doorsteps of customers. The Hub Troopers are trained experts who integrate and optimise the various digital devices in the customers' home.
To market the new services, StarHub hit the roads with an ogre-sized green ‘Ball of Happiness', a personification of StarHub's services, rolled from IMM down Jurong West to West Mall led by COO Tan Tong Hai alongwith a team of 100 ‘Hubbers'. According to DDB, the engagement idea has resulted in free publicity and PR value totaling $20,000 to date.
